Biography: Hesuan Hu (Senior Member, IEEE) received the BS degree in computer engineering and the MS and PhD degrees in electro-mechanical engineering from Xidian University, Xi’an, China, in 2003, 2005, and 2010, respectively. He is currently a full professor with Xidian University. He is a holder of more than 40 issued and filed patents in his fields of expertise. His current research interests include discrete event systems and their supervisory control techniques, Petri nets, automated manufacturing systems, multimedia streaming systems, autonomous vehicles, cyber security, and artificial intelligence. He has more than 170 publications in journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings in the above areas. He was a recipient of many national and international awards, including the Franklin V. Taylor Memorial Award for Outstanding Papers from the IEEE SMC Society, in 2010 and the finalists of the Best Automation Paper from the IEEE ICRA Society, in 2013, 2016, and 2017. He has been an associate editor of the IEEE Control Systems Magazine, IEEE Robotics and Automation Magazine, IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, and Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing. He is an IEEE distinguished lecturer.
Biography: She also holds positions as the deputy director of the Flight Technology Professional Branch of the Shanghai Aeronautical Society and a member of the organizing committee for international conferences on communication and information processing. She has conducted overseas lectures and visiting scholar work at St. Cloud State University in the United States and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. She has led and participated in over 10 provincial and ministerial-level projects, published more than 20 high-level papers, obtained over 10 patents, and authored 1 academic book and 3 textbooks. She has received two national first-class courses, the BaoGang Education Award for Outstanding Teachers, and several provincial and ministerial-level and national achievements and titles including the Shanghai Municipal Teaching Achievement Award.
Biography: Lu Xiaofeng is a professor at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and the director of the Software Security Center. He is a distinguished member of the China Computer Federation and a member of IEEE. His main research directions are distributed computing, blockchain, distributed artificial intelligence and cyber security. He has served as the conference chair of BDMLS and AITS for many times, and as the TPC of INFOCOM AidTSP, TrustCom, IEEE UIC, IEEE CSE, IEEE EUC, IEEE HPCC, IEEE ISPA, ICCS, etc. He has published over 60 papers in TIFS, TPDS, TON, IOTJ, ESWA, CCS, WWW and other journals, and has won the Best Paper Awards of ISCAIS, IOTSC and AIVRV.
Biography: Dr. Chen ZhiYuan is the Head of School and Professor at the School of Computer Science, University of Nottingham Malaysia. She has been a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK, since July 2022, and a Professional Member of the British Computer Society (BCS). Dr. Chen has extensive experience as a Principal Consultant for various government agencies, research organizations, and industries, including MIMOS (Accelerative Technology Lab), BAE Systems, TM R&D, Crops for the Future, and Tentacle Technologies. Dr Chen received her MPhil and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham in 2007 and 2011, respectively. Before joining UNM, she served as a Research Associate at the Horizon Digital Economy Research Institute in the UK. Her research interests include computer science, machine learning, data mining, user modeling, and artificial intelligence. She has published extensively in these fields and has contributed to the academic community as keynote speakers and session chairs at numerous international conferences in computer science and engineering.
Biography: Pascal Lorenz (lorenz@ieee.org) received his M.Sc. (1990) and Ph.D. (1994) from the University of Nancy, France. Between 1990 and 1995 he was a research engineer at WorldFIP Europe and at Alcatel-Alsthom. He is a professor at the University of Haute-Alsace, France, since 1995. His research interests include QoS, wireless networks and high-speed networks. He is the author/co-author of 3 books, 3 patents and 200 international publications in refereed journals and conferences. He was Technical Editor of the IEEE Communications Magazine Editorial Board (2000-2006), IEEE Networks Magazine since 2015, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology since 2017, Chair of IEEE ComSoc France (2014-2020), Financial chair of IEEE France (2017-2022), Chair of Vertical Issues in Communication Systems Technical Committee Cluster (2008-2009), Chair of the Communications Systems Integration and Modeling Technical Committee (2003-2009), Chair of the Communications Software Technical Committee (2008-2010) and Chair of the Technical Committee on Information Infrastructure and Networking (2016-2017), Chair of IEEE/ComSoc Satellite and Space Communications Technical (2022-2023), IEEE R8 Finance Committee (2022-2023), IEEE R8 Conference Coordination Committee (2023). He has served as Co-Program Chair of IEEE WCNC'2012 and ICC'2004, Executive Vice-Chair of ICC'2017, TPC Vice Chair of Globecom'2018, Panel sessions co-chair for Globecom'16, tutorial chair of VTC'2013 Spring and WCNC'2010, track chair of PIMRC'2012 and WCNC'2014, symposium Co-Chair at Globecom 2007-2011, Globecom'2019, ICC 2008-2010, ICC'2014 and '2016. He has served as Co-Guest Editor for special issues of IEEE Communications Magazine, Networks Magazine, Wireless Communications Magazine, Telecommunications Systems and LNCS. He is associate Editor for International Journal of Communication Systems (IJCS-Wiley), Journal on Security and Communication Networks (SCN-Wiley) and International Journal of Business Data Communications and Networking, Journal of Network and Computer Applications (JNCA-Elsevier). He is senior member of the IEEE, IARIA fellow and member of many international program committees. He has organized many conferences, chaired several technical sessions and gave tutorials at major international conferences. He was IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer Tour during 2013-2014.
